Instant Pot deviled eggs are the perfect party appetizer and everyday snack! For this deviled egg recipe, I decided to use my Instant Pot because it makes the cooking process so much easier and consistent.

I grew up eating deviled eggs at family parties, but I never actually made them. During the holidays this year, I wanted to make deviled eggs using my Instant Pot but couldn’t find a solid recipe in any of my cookbooks.
I ended up playing around with my Instant Pot, as well as different ingredients to create this deviled egg recipe. It’s super easy and you most likely have all of the ingredients on hand.
Pasture Raised vs Conventional Eggs

Pasture raised eggs are THE BEST eggs to buy and eat. Compare a pasture raised egg side by side with a conventional egg and you will dramatically see the difference.
Pasture raised chickens have access to the outside world, unlike conventional chickens. Their quality of life is better and they’re also able to eat what is naturally found in their diet, like grass, grubs, and bugs. This natural diet is what makes the pasture raised eggs look so different.
Pasture raised eggs are definitely more expensive than conventional eggs. To save a buck, I personally purchase my pasture raised eggs at the Grocery Outlet or Costco. These stores tend to have the best prices.
You could also ask local farmers in your area if they sell eggs. Their eggs may not come from pasture raised chickens, but they’re still a better option than conventional eggs.
Your Mayonnaise Matters

There are many different brands of mayonnaise out there. Unfortunately, most of the popular brands contain soybean or canola oil. I don’t like consuming products with these oils because they make my face breakout.
Canola and soybean oil are highly processed and oxidize with oxygen, heat and light. Consequently, this can over time wreak havoc on our bodies.
The best mayonnaise, in my opinion, is made by Primal Kitchen. Instead of canola or soybean oil, they use avocado oil. Olive oil is also a great option, but it has a much stronger flavor.
If you’re really feeling it and you have the time, you can always make your own mayonnaise. It’s super easy to do. Click here for the recipe I follow from the blog, Against All Grain.
Tools you may need for Instant Pot Deviled Eggs

- Instant Pot: An Instant Pot is a pressure cooker that quickly cooks your food with very little effort. There are different brands of pressure cookers out there, but the Instant Pot seems to be the most user friendly and safe to use.
- Steamer basket: I purchased this steamer basket at Kohls, but you can also purchase it at Walmart or here on Amazon. Most Instant Pots come with a metal rack, but it’s difficult to keep the eggs from rolling around on the rack, which is why I purchased this silicon basket.
Instant Pot Deviled Egg Toppings
When it comes to adding toppings to your deviled eggs, the possibilities are endless. You have the option of making them Instagram worthy or simple with a pinch of salt and pepper.
In this recipe I decided to top my deviled eggs with prosciutto, paprika, and dried parsley. But really, any topping will do, so pick your favorite!
**If you wanted to make this deviled egg recipe vegetarian, you could even top your eggs with some sauteed mushrooms. Yum!**
